ROBERT B. RICHBOURG is a native of Nashville, Georgia. He earned his Bachelors degree in Business from Valdosta State University in 1986 and his Law degree from Wake Forest University Law School in 1989. He was admitted to the Idaho Bar in 1989 and to the Georgia Bar in 1993.
Following several years of service as an Associate Judge of the Alapaha Judicial Circuit Juvenile Court, Bob began his career as a Prosecutor in Canyon County, Idaho before returning to Georgia to serve as an Assistant District Attorney in Dalton. Bob then returned home to South Georgia to begin his private law practice in 1994 and, during such time, served for six years as Solicitor-General of the State Court of Tift County. He completed his prosecutorial service in this elected position in December of 2006.
Mr. Richbourg’s practice emphasizes commercial and residential real estate, business law and litigation related to business disputes as well as general civil litigation. Bob also selects several criminal matters to defend on an on-going basis.
On August 1, 2007, Bob Richbourg was appointed to the Unlicensed Practice of Law District 2 Committee by the Supreme Court of Georgia. This committee is responsible for investigating reports of the unlicensed practice of law by persons not admitted to practice law in the State of Georgia as well as submitting reports of findings to the staff counsel of the State Bar of Georgia. The committee is also responsible for making recommendations regarding further enforcement through litigation arising out of these regulations. |
